Breakfast

Breakfast at our house is a serious business…well, for some of us. This morning Jasper at applesauce and banana, a whole blueberry pancake, and a scrambled egg. He was eyeing my plate for any scraps that might have been left on mine too. Obi on the other hand would much rather play, or as was the case this morning - hunt for tigers and vicious wildebeests.  I don't want to forget the seemingly mundane moments that really are special and spectacular.

snow

A few weeks back we had the last snow of the winter. We got out and enjoyed it even though it wasn't really snow you could build anything out of. Jasper is in all the pictures, he just is slightly camouflaged by his snow suit matching the sled.  The two boys loved being out there and horsing around.

my little builder

This kid loves to build with legos. He spends hours creating things and tweaking his inventions. SO cute, but it is also very serious business. All his creations have names and often are a series of letters and numbers - the most popular being 688998698 or any random conglomeration of the numbers 6, 8, and 9.

the house

So, the day after tomorrow our little house of dreams will belong to another family. We poured blood, sweat, tears, and love into that home. It is part of us, and holds so many dear memories. Both our boys came home to that house. It was only fitting to take  few pictures on the porch before we left.  We are going to miss this place, but are so thankful for the time that God allowed for us to live there. It was a sweet gift to live in that place.

My youngest

Mr Smiles had to go get some shots, but even though he was feeling crummy and running a temp, he is still as sweet as ever!

Lately-

Here are a few pics from the last two weeks. We've been so busy, and Jasper's new found freedom in crawling has made things all the more busy, not to mention messy!
This big boy just gets sweeter every day!
Thankful for contraptions like this that hold a young man still while I had to help his big brother take care of business.
Can you tell how pleased he is with himself?
Once he finally lies down this is how he sleeps...in the corner. A whole bed to sleep in and this is where he cuddles up.
As I was packing up our groceries I found them both sitting in the same position.
Lastly- a picture of my three men. I am so thankful for them. All three are amazing and wonderful and I cannot imagine my life without these guys.

speedracer

Now, it has been a few years since Obi was crawling and either I don't remember it, or Obi was a different type of kid, but Jasper is giddy about getting into things! :-) He is FAST too. Luckily this time around I have another pair of eyes to help me keep an eye on him. Today while I was making a sandwich for Obi, he was quick to pull Jasper out of a precarious situation and haul him back to his pile of toys on the floor. Not that Jasper stayed put for that long, but still, it was very helpful. I KNOW full well that I have another child that likes to press the boundaries. He is learning what "no" means, and when I tell him "no" he looks at me, grins, and starts laughing as he does it again.  Got my work cut out for me.

Glad I have these little eagle eyes to help me keep tabs on the Jasp.
