Easter

This Easter was wonderful!  We went to church, spent plenty of time with family, had a fun and quiet afternoon with the boys and reflected on the gift of Life that is given to us. It was neat to hear Obi be able to articulate the reason for Easter and what it means to him. As sweet as it is to hear my son talk about how much he loves Jesus, I can only imagine how much more Jesus loves listening to him too!

In the afternoon we went out back and Obi flew a kite while Jasper played on a blanket. He is SO cute. Can't hardly stand it.
This big boy is pretty cute too. He had a blast running around with the kite.
After the wind died down and we couldn't keep the kite up any more, we brought out the frisbee and Ob gave Pooka a run.
Then before I forgot entirely, we went to the front porch and I took pictures of my two young gentlemen in their Easter outfits...minus Jasper's shoes. Oh well, we do live in Arkansas where shoes are optional.
 The best of friends!
Then after dinner, it was time for the egg hunt!  Both boys totally got into it.  Jasper quickly figured out that there were treats inside and was very eager to find some more.
Obi shared his spoils with everyone.
Jasper did not share. He was a little piggy.

Coloring Eggs

This year we pulled out the little colored cups and the drops of dye and put Obi's apron on. He loves anything that involves making a mess and coloring things. This year was no exception. There was a bottle of glitter that came with the egg dye...it was liberally dumped into the water much to Obi's glee. I am guessing that it will make the eggs inedible when we get around to peeling them later. The stuff is all over!

Playing together

There is almost 4 years between my boys, but they love each other and already have a strong brotherly bond. It is sweet to see them play and interact together. Obi likes to wear the same thing that Jasper does, so I found them a couple shirts that matched and was going to take some pictures together. But, with both of them not sitting even remotely still, most of what I got were blurry, but funny pictures.

Breakfast

Breakfast at our house is a serious business…well, for some of us. This morning Jasper at applesauce and banana, a whole blueberry pancake, and a scrambled egg. He was eyeing my plate for any scraps that might have been left on mine too. Obi on the other hand would much rather play, or as was the case this morning - hunt for tigers and vicious wildebeests.  I don't want to forget the seemingly mundane moments that really are special and spectacular.
